I'm Luke Scotchie, a sports journalist and storyteller based in San Antonio, TX.

I've devoted the last five years to exploring the humanity, background and motivations of notable public figures, including Sen. Elizabeth Warren, Roman Anthony, Kristaps Porzingis, Wilyer Abreu, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Luke Kornet, Anthony Black, and Goga Bitadze.

My long-form profiles have appeared in The Boston Globe, Boston.com, Orlando Magic HQ, Major League Table Tennis, and The Florida Catholic. My original, short-form reporting has been aggregated by CNN, Bleacher Report, Sports Illustrated and Yahoo! Sports.

Alongside my written work, I bring experience in on-air reporting, social media content creation, multimedia journalism, and microsite development. I graduated from Boston University's College of Communications in 2025.
