My name is Luke Scotchie, and I am a journalism student currently based in Boston, MA.

I was born in Orlando, FL, and I started my journalism career in 2021 as a writer for Orlando Magic HQ. I moved to Boston that year to attend Boston University, where I wrote for WTBU and The Daily Free Press. I pursued a co-op with Boston.com in 2023, where I covered the Boston Celtics and Boston Red Sox.

Currently, I cover the Red Sox' minor league teams for Boston.com, and I write features and profiles for Orlando Magic HQ.

I've written many stories and have interviewed several people over the last few years, including Sen. Elizabeth Warren, Boston Celtics center Kristaps Porzingis, Boston Red Sox top prospect Roman Anthony and Orlando Magic center Goga Bitadze.
