My name is Luke Scotchie, and I am a journalism student currently based in Boston, MA.

I was born in Orlando, FL, and I started my journalism career in 2021 as a writer for Orlando Magic HQ. I moved to Boston that year to attend Boston University, where I wrote for WTBU, The Daily Free Press, and Case in Point. I pursued a co-op with Boston.com in 2023, where I covered the Boston Celtics and Boston Red Sox.

Currently, I cover the Red Sox' minor league teams for Boston.com, and I write features and profiles for Orlando Magic HQ.

I've written many stories about several people over the last few years, including Sen. Elizabeth Warren, Boston Celtics center Kristaps Porzingis, Boston Red Sox top prospects Roman Anthony and Kristian Campbell, Gold Glove-winning outfielder Wilyer Abreu, and Orlando Magic centers Goga Bitadze and Moritz Wagner.
